Description DESCRIPTION Sikafloor®-3240 is a two-component, solvent-free, colored self-smoothing polyurethane (PUR) resin with tough-elastic properties. It utilizes Sika’s innovative i-Cure technology to enhance surface appearance and minimize sensitivity to ambient humidity during application. This product is also suitable for use in hot and tropical climates. USES Sikafloor®-3240 is intended for use by experienced professionals. It is ideal for: A smooth, crack-bridging surface for industrial floors in production and storage facilities, workshops, etc. A broadcast surface for crack-bridging applications in wet areas, such as food and beverage industries, car park decks, and loading ramps. Suitable for use on asphalt surfaces and in indoor environments like shopping centers, exhibition halls, and storage areas. CHARACTERISTICS / ADVANTAGES Flexible and tough-elastic. APPROVALS / CERTIFICATES Synthetic resin screed material according to EN 13813:2002, CE marked. Surface protection coating for concrete as per EN 1504-2:2004, CE marked. Emission testing in line with the German AgBB scheme (ISO-16000). Fire classification according to DIN EN 13501-1. Outgassing VOC emission certification: Cleanroom Suitable Materials – CSM, tested by IPA. Biological resistance class “Good,” tested per ISO 846. Riboflavin test results: Excellent. Paint compatibility and crack-bridging properties testing available. Slip resistance classification as per DIN 51131. Density: Part A ~1.4 kg/l, Part B ~1.3 kg/l, Mixed resin (1:0.5 ratio) ~1.6 kg/l Solid Content: ~100% by weight and volume. Pot Life At 10°C: ~40 minutes At 20°C: ~30 minutes At 30°C: ~20 minutes Curing Time Before overcoating: 10°C: 30 to 72 hours 20°C: 24 to 48 hours 30°C: 16 to 36 hours If the maximum waiting time is exceeded, the surface must be ground for mechanical bonding between layers.
